When a user enters a search for an Amazon product, for example "Apple iPod", the search more often than not comes back with cases and other accessories, but deprioritizes the product itself.
If you feed it a url to the actual product, then the semantic search works great at pulling back correct products. But for short searches, this seems to be a weakness of the system.

When you provide a URL, our system actually grabs the content (text) of
the web page and uses that text as the query. Our semantic search
produces great results when using sentences, paragraphs, entire articles
or documents. If possible, try using a URL or provide a product
description in the query.
