Textwise WordPress addon causes excessive resource use on webserver

I am receiving repeated "account suspended due to excessive resource use" warnings from my web host since installing the text wise Word Press add-on.
Deactivating seems to remove the warnings.
To generate these suspensions, I am assuming the add-on must be generating tasks that exceed the server limit of 30 seconds of CPU time to complete, or 128 meg of ram to complete.
Is there a way to implement a low resource mode that would stay below these thresholds? Most ISP's seem to have such limits, except on the most expensive hosting plans.

Can you provide any more information on when you received these messages?
Can you tell us anything about the size of the content you are submitting? Is it particularly large?
Do you know if your HTTP requests are submitted using cURL or fopen?
Are you running any other plugins?
