Service Configurations

Overview

With the exception of the 'Match' service, all other services allow the specification of a configuration ID to be included in the request path. These configuration IDs instruct the system on which semantic dictionary to use when performing its semantic analysis. Additionally, the configuration ID specifies which filter to apply to the content that was provided in the request. The following table details the available configuration IDs that can be used.

The default dictionary configuration ID for signature, concept, and category requests is odp_2007_l1_1.7k. The default dictionary configuration ID for indexing and matching is odp_2009_l1_1.6k, and this is the dictionary configuration ID that will be used when generating categories for the SEMANTIC_CATEGORY facet.

Configuration ID Labels File (for use with signatures) Categories File (for use with categories) Description
odp_2007_l1_1.7k odp_2007_l1_1.7k.txt odp_2007_l1_1.7k_categories.txt All semantic analysis is performed with 1,700 Semantic Dimensions that were built using the Open Directory Project taxonomy.
odp_2009_l1_1.6k odp_2009_l1_1.6k.txt odp_2009_l1_1.6k_categories.txt An updated version of our ODP based configuration that contains approximately 1700 dimensions and data from May of 2009. Please note that the signatures produced by this configuration are not interchangeable with signatures produced by the the 2007 ODP configuration.
